necessary to make a new field (a duplicate of the recommended products) in the admin panel in the product card and, of course, display these products on the front.
In the admin panel, in product_form.tpl, I made a pod similar to the existing field of recommended products
. In the admin panel, in model/catalog/product.php, by analogy, I created methods for creating, deleting and editing similar products in the database
. In the database, I created a separate table for similar products. Again, by analogy
In the Controller, again, I did everything))))
BUT !!! Nothing is written to the database and no errors are returned
. Help!

Take the whole picture (along with the girl on the bike) and make it a background. Why share everything?

as mentioned above, I think it's better to cut out the whole thing, and if you want a girl separately, then position: absolute; put it where it needs to be.
