Tell me briefly what are the functions in excel _

Is it necessary to know today? What are they for?
Did these features appear only in the 19th version of Excel, or were they in the earlier ones as well?
PS Is it worth switching to Excel 19 now, or is it possible to work completely in the 13th?

PowerBI is a business intelligence and visualization tool.
Power Pivot is a data modeling technology, excel 2019 is optional for it, it can be used as an add-on for both 2013 and 2016 versions.
Power query - means of data access\data processing. It is also available in earlier versions as a separately downloadable add-on.
If you are really interested in this, nothing prevents you from hammering these phrases into the same Google, and reading articles / watching videos where all these mechanisms are sucked from all sides.
