Netbook HDD intolerance after Gentoo update
At the beginning of summer, I updated the system (test branch). Netbook lenovo s10-2. The update went without errors. But after the reboot, a surprise awaited me, namely, the internal hard drive was not initialized. The first thought is that he died, but in another laptop he is initialized and the axis is loaded. Then there was an assumption that the contacts had died, but another hard drive was being initialized. Then there was an assumption that the contact was spoiled, that on the hard drive, on the connector. I cloned the system to an external one and formatted the internal one, as a result it is initialized. The external one on which the system clone is initialized.
What could it be?

Acer 8371 with FreeBSD. More details here.
In a nutshell, it helps:
1. Unscrew the hard drive
2. Turn on the laptop without a hard drive
3. In the BIOS, switch the HDD controller mode from AHCI to IDE
4. Turn off the laptop
5. Screw in the hard drive
6. Start the system
Maybe this method will help you.
