NetBeans and Oracle XE on Mac OS: how to overcome "ORA-12705" error?

Some time ago Oralce stopped releasing an installer for OS X, so I installed Oracle XE in Parallels (Windows 7 is installed there) and I try to connect to it with NetBeans installed in OS X and get an ORA-12705 error related to the NLS_LANG setting .
I tried all sorts of options, but the connection did not establish.
Has anyone already solved a similar problem?

The other day I dealt with a similar problem. The solution is to set the parameter when connecting
-Duser.region=US
I entered this additional parameter in the SQLDeveloper settings and in liquibase. I can’t say exactly where to register this in Netbeans, but this parameter solves the problem
