Need GUI Editor for custom XML

Dear community, please advise.
I joined a team that develops a cross-platform application in C. The entire graphical interface is described in XML files with our "special" syntax. I, as an interface designer, got tired of looking for the right piece of code, editing, rebuilding resources and seeing the result only "live", in the application. Is there a GUI editor that generates a sane preview that can be extended to use our custom XML layouts?
