Need advice on DOSCIS boards?
Good evening.
The following situation has arisen:
Our organization receives the Internet using DOSCIS technology (via a television cable). When connected, the provider gave us a cheap Cisco EPC3825 box (which also cut off most of the functions), which can no longer cope with the volume of incoming / outgoing and internal traffic.
The question is: is there any device that would simply decode the DOSCIS signal and transmit it further over Ethernet? It is desirable that it exists in the free sale.
In general, the ideal option would be a board that could be built into the server, and there pfSense would have already coped with everything in the world.
Thank you.

Such boards are extremely rare.
Here are the models that you can look at
Zoom Model 500
Motorola SB4000
Broadcom BCM3379
But IMHO you won’t find them in the post-Soviet space, and it’s also unlikely to order. Wouldn't it be easier to find out about ADSL availability in your building/city??
And what are the speeds / volumes that this tsiska can not cope with?
Didn't find what you were looking for?
