Need advice. How to proceed when creating a site on wordpress?

In general, there is a customer who needs a simple website with a header, 3 product cards, an entry form and a footer.
He wanted to buy a theme, but I thought that I could just create such a site, take the design from somewhere and put it on WordPress.
All orders will be through the form, but the customer would like in the future to be able to purchase goods through the site.
As I understand it, a wookomers will be needed, but can I just put it on such a self-written site or will I need some kind of dance with a tambourine?
