Need a couple of answers to questions about a web server?

Hi, there are a couple of questions about web servers, I myself am a coder, but I want to figure out how everything works here.
Previously, I simply ran index.html from Sublime or PhpStorm
1) Server selection. I have a poppy axis, download Apache? Or ngnix? Is there a difference between them?
2) Will this site, which I will create, be visible on the Internet?
3) Do you need WordPress?
Thanks

To simplify your task, use XAMPP for OS X
1) You can download it here: https://www.apachefriends.org/en/download.html faq_osx.html 2) Depends on the settings, but by default access will only be on the local computer. 3) You decide :)

@Zhbert

1. You need a bunch - the server itself, muscle, pohape. In your case, you need MAMP, as described above.
2. No, of course not.
3. Well... Why? WordPress (Jumla, Drupal and their overdofiga) is a site content management system
, a kind of backbone on which a template is pulled. But it is not mandatory, you can write everything yourself.

If your site is hosted on a cheap shared hosting, then Apache.
Otherwise nginx.
Apache is a web server developed in the last millennium, a heavy, unwieldy monster with complex configuration. Choosing it for new projects is pointless.
3) Do you need WordPress?
Needed. It will give you the opportunity to create entire sites yourself, without programmers. Sometimes this is a very good income bonus.
In addition, it is often required to type for it.
