Navigator choice?

I want to buy a car navigator. I went to the store, they said 2 options: some kind of garmin for 5 tr. or cheaper than an empty one and download / install everything there yourself. Actually interested in the details of the 2nd option. Or is it considered varese?

I don’t have complete information on the second option ... But the feeling of build quality and work is not particularly inspiring.
Also, the first option gives a guarantee that all the “assembled Lego” will work like a clock (within the declared ranges), and if not, then the issue can be resolved under warranty.
The second option gives football a chance ... IMHO. At the Garmin itself, though somewhere for 3 tr.

Last year I bought a navigator with a navigator, I will need to find out if I can receive license updates after a year of use, etc. It is possible to assemble it yourself cheaper, but I bought it for my father for his birthday, I did not have time to deal with all this.
