Navigation on all pages of the site or not?
Hello!
The question is not related to the technical execution of anything, only by design.
I read on Habré about minimized landing pages, on which there is actually nothing but what is needed from the user (for example, the registration page on dropbox).
I have one scientific project under development. The site publishes articles by category. Category navigation is presented horizontally in the site header. The question is as follows. Should this menu be shown on non-content pages - ie. on the contact information page, on the registration page, on the user profile page, or leave only the logo with a link to the main page in the header, so as not to visually load the page intended for other purposes, such as, respectively, obtaining information about the administration's contact details, registering on the site and user view? Or it will be more convenient to have content category navigation anywhere and everywhere.
Interested in your opinion.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Alexander.

The global menu should be everywhere. Read Steve Krug's book "Don't Make Me Think" about interface design, these questions will disappear.
Naturally, there are exceptions. But not in your case. Registration in dropbox is an unsuccessful example, since there is nothing to do without registration on this site, this is the first step, without which there is nowhere to go.
I went into contacts and decided to call you. "Now I will order my refrigerator, what is its product code, oh, where are the refrigerators? Where am I? What's wrong with me ?!"
If you are sure that after viewing, for example, your contact information, the visitor will intend to write, call, or decide to leave the site, definitely not wanting to return to viewing the content, remove the menu.
vary. for example, you can use a drop-down menu with the main navigation on such pages or vice versa.
