MySQL Server 5.6 (Base directory) installation on ssd?

MySQL Server 5.6 is installed on the hdd drive (Base directory), and the database is on the ssd drive (Data directory). Does MySQL Server 5.6 (Base directory) also need to be installed on the ssd drive to improve performance? Or will it not affect her in any way?
