Mysql 5.7 or Mysql 8 for a simple online store?

Such a question, the customer has a site under windows, they asked to transfer it to a new server, when I downloaded Mysql, I thought to install 5.7, but I saw that version 8 was released. I have a question, is it worth installing version 8 for the online store, will there be any improvements compared to 5.7?
In the process of studying, I found out that version 8 does not support query caching, there are no more query cache options, they suggest putting SQL proxy in its place .. is it worth it to bother, in the sense of whether there will be a significant performance increase compared to version 5.7?
