My project URL is mentioned on junk sites. Why, why and what to do?

Comrades, need advice and expert opinion!

In an attempt to popularize my project, I constantly observe the mention of my site in the materials that Google finds (Alerts are called).

So for a month now, from time to time, letters have been coming from Google with 2-3 mentions of the address of my project on some shitty sites. And, as it turned out, there are a whole bunch of them (shit sites) on completely different topics. There are also those who give out one thing for people, and another for search engines.

No, I know that there are such people and that with this black SEO someone is trying to gain something for themselves from the search giants. However, what really worries me is how did my project get there?

The answer seems to be the most realistic, where the ill-wisher decided to drive my site under search engine filters ...

Share your experience.

1. How could this happen? (I myself do not use such methods and did not ask anyone).
2. How bad is it? What could be the consequences?
3. What can be done in this situation? What do you advise?

You shouldn't worry too much about this - the chance of getting filtered for external factors is very small (and this is logical, otherwise any resource could be "removed" due to such spam). So just ignore them and enjoy the site =)

For example, the issuance of the same Google is parsed, and links to the site get there. In this way, several projects also constantly appear on all sorts of shit blogs on blogspot.

Detractors are unlikely, and there will be no sanctions either if the site is not completely new, the only way out is to put up with it)

There is no pessimization for external links. (It seems to be). It seems to be - because it’s as if no one knows anything) However, guessing on the coffee grounds, it was found out that no. So you don't have to worry too much about this.

Do you sell links, for example, in SAP?
If so, then most likely this is a map of links that the optimizer bought and drives into the index to make it faster.

Place links of shitty sites on your site with the caption “I will sell concrete. Viagra is cheap. Rent an apartment in Kapotnya»

There were similar situations, the mechanism is as follows: my site was spammed with shit links, then pages of my site where shit links are stuffed begin to push through on shit sites. Already half a year has passed since it was cleaned, and links appear. Like, look, a search engine - they link to pages with shit links.
I don’t know if this was the reason, but pr has recently been reset to zero, and I don’t do any SEO other than content filling (it’s clear the stump is high-quality).
