Multiline vertical taskbar in Windows 7?
I understand that the question sounds like a teapot, but I have already broken my head and climbed all the forums, I can’t find an acceptable solution.
The catch is that I'm very used to the vertical arrangement of the taskbar (I have it on the right monitor in the very right corner). In this case, I save an important place in height, and subjectively it’s convenient.
Everything would be fine, but only when the list of tasks exceeds the free area, they are automatically transferred to the second page, which can only be reached by paging.
All attempts to force me to show icons on the vertical taskbar in several rows (as it is elementary done with a horizontal arrangement) were unsuccessful. The vertical panel only expands in width, but does not want to split into several lines.
Is there any standard (well, or at least third-party) solution for this problem? How to make 7-ku with a vertical arrangement of the taskbar to show task icons in several rows.
PS Found a similar question asked about a year ago. habrahabr.ru/qa/10701/ , however, the answer was not found there. Maybe something has changed in the meantime?

I scored, optimized the pinned icons as much as possible, only those that I always use. When a scroll appears, I look for an application that I can close +)
A little offtopic, I'll start from afar: A student approaches the teacher and asks:
- Stepan Andreevich, do you put your beard on the blanket or under it when you sleep?
He thought:
- I do not know, Ivanov, leave me alone, not up to your jokes now.
A week passes, the teacher found Ivanov:
- You won’t pass the test, infection, until you tell me what you did. Now it’s not comfortable under the covers, nor over the blanket
So, I never thought about keeping the panel on the side and everything was cool, but now, as if there were no other things to do, I’m looking for a gadget that would display running tasks to attach it to the side of the screen and scroll the accumulated running tasks with the mouse.
The question is correct. True, we are not talking about rows, but about columns - how to make applications appear in several columns on the vertical taskbar of Windows 7?
This is a non-implemented feature in Windows 7. That's how it worked in XP - applications were arranged in 2 or more columns when there were too many of them.
There are no options to fix this with standard configuration tools. If you are using two monitors, then Display Fusion allows you to place a second taskbar on the second monitor. Accordingly, those programs that work on the first monitor will be displayed on the native taskbar, on the second - on the DF taskbar, similar in functionality. Perhaps there are other alternative applications that implement their multi-column taskbar...
For myself, the other day I sketched a crutch on AutoHotkey - scrolls to the second column of the panel using a hot key without having to move the mouse and get into a narrow scrollbar ( http://keencod.in/?p=163 ). There will be time - I will finish it for 3 or more columns.
