MP3 player.....?
My player began to give up slowly, it's time to change it.
The following points are of interest:
1) Long battery life (preferably 40-50 hours)
2) Support for flac is desirable
3) If there is support for flac, then 16 gigs of memory, if not, then 4 is enough.
4) Do not need additional functions like video, photo, reader and other things. Only music. Even a bright color display is not needed. B/W is enough.
5) Preferably mechanical, not touch control.
Well, a good sound will unravel.
If such players exist in nature, I will be grateful for the links.

Cowon D2 (no longer sold), its successor C2.
The battery holds 50 hours of audio. The sound is amazing (look at the specs). I myself am a supporter of small players - before that I had a samsung YP-S2. But this is a completely different level...
Cowon supports SD cards. Moreover, a very important requirement for me is the ability to switch music in my pocket with buttons. In cowon C2 it is =)
The cost of 4gb is 4000r.
As everyone said above. I recommend only COWON, I have all the players from this company
iRiver E30 4GB
1.8'' LCD, 176x220 dots, 260,000 colors
Li-Ion battery up to 52 hours
MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC
Cowon, iRiver, iPod (alac true). There is another cheap option - I had a TSonic 860. Decent sound (if the equalizer is not touched), flac support, 8Gb of memory and support for cards up to 16Gb, great price.
Only iPods compare with Cowon in terms of quality, but they have their drawbacks ...
I also recommend Cowon.
D2 - not for sale, and there is no point in looking. Only if it turns up.
D2 + - still on sale, the very same one. In addition to the above, I will add Rockbox, which has scrobbling in last.fm and Doom!
C2 - as an update to the line. But he has a minus (for me it is) microsd cards. I'm used to the full size ones.

Simple, reliable, convenient. Mechanical control, and very comfortable. The sound is not bad, but no more, it lives for a long time, it works like a regular flash drive, it is cheap.
Cheap and cheerful
Cowon iAudio E2 4Gb
I've had it for half a year already - I'm very pleased with the sound. There is no screen at all - this is a plus.
Wow, they threw it all in ... And I'll put in my two cents:
Now I'm using Creative Zen Stone 2gb, for 3 or 4 years already.
Ipod Nano 2g + rockbox
Price from an average of $60 + shipping, on ebay.
Flac, Ape, Mp3 and a bunch of other formats... According to tests, I played 22 hours in non-stop mode, not at the maximum volume, of course, but much higher than I'm used to.
