Moving to https - how to return the server response speed?

There is a site on Bitrix, I'm struggling with the speed of the server's response, now it's so-so 0.7-0.9 seconds. In September, we moved to https, and this is what I saw according to the Y.metric.

It can be seen that the server response time has tripled after moving to https.

I did not have to deal with moving to https.
Tell me, well, not everyone has such a problem after moving?
I understand that https is somewhat slower than http, but so much?

Googling found similar questions from different webmasters, but somehow without answers.
Where to dig? Need to optimize SSL itself in this case? Or tune the server?

In the logs, everything is there, maybe these are just redirects. Track what happens from request to response and find the weak link. Without logs, only divination can be

If there is a redirect for each request, then this is wrong. all links must initially be with https, which would work directly without redirects.

"Moved to HTTPS" - did you install a normally configured nginx, on which encryption is terminated, and everything remained behind it via HTTP, or did you wind up HTTPS on Apache, which already did not work particularly fast on default settings?
