Moving to a new data center?

Good afternoon,
We are going to move about 80 servers from SoftLayer (where we rent servers) to another data center at Co-location (where we will use our own servers).
In this regard, I would like to ask what should be paid attention to and what should be taken into account when designing your own infrastructure.

Hardware:
* Supermicro platform * Which manufacturer's memory should I use? There are a lot of Hynix modules on current servers, but there are also Samsung and others. * Disks There are several sub-items to highlight here:

1) Enterprise SSD, 400+GB. Now it is Smart XceedIOPS2 SSD. How about the new Samsun 840 Pro? Does it make sense to use FusionIO for DB?

2) 15k SAS drives 600+GB. Now it is Seagate Cheetah ST3600057SS.
Items 1 and 2 will be used for flashcache on database servers. item 1 will be used as the main drives for API/WEB servers.

3) 7.2k SATAIII drives 4+TB. Western Digital WD RE WD4000FYYZ
These drives will be used for a small number of servers that store non-critical data.

4) RAID adapter.
The Adaptec 5405Z is currently in use, but this is the SATAII standard.
Now on new servers we install Adaptec 71605 supporting SATAIII (6 Gbps).

5) SATA cable. About a dozen times a situation has arisen over the past couple of years, when SL engineers recommended replacing SATA cables on servers when RAID arrays fell apart. The Backblaze blog (online backup) recommended paying attention to their quality when building your own storage servers. They use SATA cables RA-to-STR 3 ft locking from Nippon Labs. I'll put it in a separate paragraph.

* Network.
At the moment, internal and external networks are implemented for each server. I'm thinking of doing the same.
Network adapters: what to use with a backlog? At the moment we have 1 and 2 Gbit/s adapters. I'm thinking about using 10Gbit for the internal network and especially for server database replication.

* Deploying new servers
At the moment, SoftLayer independently installs the OS specified in the administration panel and can execute an external script to install the necessary software.
For the DC, I look towards Spacewalk: it can boot the server via PXE, install all the necessary software and configure it.

* Organizational measures
What to pay attention to?

* Security
What to add here? Iron firewalls? Or is this a question to be addressed at the application level?

* Additional information
Advise blogs / reports / diagrams on the topic of organization / migration of IT infrastructure.

Spacewalk poop. It is better to have a PXE separately and some Puppet separately. Personal experience.

Judging by the description, you just want "to be cool"! Hardware and software must be selected based on tasks and loads ...
