Move site to joomla from 1.5 to 3

Basically, the problem is in the title. You need to migrate the site from version 1.5 to version 3. The problem is that I was not engaged in web programming (only simple html pages with scripts like "calculator", etc. in the first year).
From which side to start digging in order to be able to complete this task in a minimum period of time?
Enough only lessons on this cms or will you have to dig in more depth in this direction?

Just use this JUpgrade component and do not forget that if your site template was incompatible with joomla 2.5, then you will have to correct it (or re-type it)
