Mount folder from vmware to windows network drive?
Tell me how you can "mount / synchronize" (not sure what it's called) a folder from the ubuntu virtual machine raised on vmware 12 to a network drive on the Windows parent?
That is, so that I, having raised a virtual machine with ubuntu, could open "my computer" in windows and there, along with cd-rom, flash drives and other things, I saw this mounted folder.
I once set it up in such a way that I could go into this network drive and work with it like with a regular windows folder, while it was fully synchronized with the virtual machine.
What is the name of this technique, in which direction to google in general?

You need to share the folder via samba using the CIFS protocol. After that, you can connect this ball in Windows as a network drive.
