MODX wayfinder menu work?

Good afternoon,
Please tell me what could be the problem.
Created a menu using the Wayfinder snippet, one of the menu items (News) is a parent document (container) for other resources.
Now, when I navigate through all the menu items, everything works fine, but when I go to the news page, when I try to go from it to any other page, the following bug occurs.
The start page is always displayed and you can’t change it until you click the “home” menu item. In the address bar, you can see that there is a link to the news page (i.e., the line looks like this http://site/news/our-contacts.html) although I'm not in the child document, "news" and " contacts are parallel to each other.
If you click on the news menu item several times, the address bar looks like this ( http://website//news/news/news.html). To reset it, you need to return to the start page.

1. problem, set in the head
2. By default, the 404 page is the main one. If not changed in config. So if you don't set a separate 404 page, it will look like you've landed on the main page.

Thank you very much!
I've been breaking my head all day.
I registered Base but apparently not correctly. The tag was in the form base href="[(site_url)]" /
