Adobe DRM - Implementations differ by delivery method. Adobe FMS 4.5 encrypts files on the fly when delivered via HTTP-DS. When playing (in flash, of course), a request is made to the Adobe Flash Access server to obtain a temporary license for playback. The remaining schemes either do not work and are fictitious protection (RTMPE for example), or require a specialized client to view. There are such clients for mobile devices, and in the case of a popular service and interesting content, such a decision is justified. Security software as a separate client is available from many IPTV encryption companies (Verimatrix, etc.). The prevalence of such software (for all the inconvenience of the model of its use) is due to the fact that copyright holders provide licensed content provided that it is protected by one of the approved tools, to which these iptvshny decisions also concern. For other cases, it is better not to use these solutions.
In summary, apart from Adobe, there are no more or less universal solutions for video in the browser.
