Modem not working in Gentoo, what should I do?

I installed gentoo, there were no problems with the modem on livecd. Installed everything works. The next day, the modem does not want to work (it works in Windows). Modem ZTE MF823D 'Beeline'.

Gentoo is an operating system for advanced users. Maybe you should try something simpler like Linux Mint.
