Modbus ascii - what does the response from the controller mean?
I have a DVP-12SA2 controller. I connect to it via an rs cable and work with it using the modbus ascii protocol.
The bottom line is this ... I send a request to read the register: ": 0206126C2000E1"
I get the answer: : 02860771
I don’t understand what’s going on ... Help me figure out who worked with this protocol.

It looks like 86 is a modbus exception. The error code should follow. Read the protocol specification for more details.
