Mobile version of the site, how best to do it?

A site will be made on WordPress , and then you need to not only adapt it using media queries, but make a separate mobile version for it.
Can you please give advice on how this is done in general, do you need to first install WordPress on the main domain and make the desktop version, and then install WordPress again on the subdomain for the mobile version and do the integration again from scratch?
Or is it possible to make a mobile version in one WordPress installation ?

It is possible in one installation. Just make two themes: for computer and for mobile, and install and configure the Any Mobile Theme Switcher plugin . In it, you can specify which theme to show for which devices.
