Mint is not installed on LVM, a grub error occurs, what can I do?

Hello.
I install Mint from scratch and with manual layout on LVM
I made an LVM group vg_mint
made 3 logical volumes with the names lv_mint_home, lv_mint_root, lv_mint_swap
and I try to start the installation on the lv_mint_root logical volume, the
process started, copying then stopping and then an error pops up when installing grub
"this fatal error" grub-install /dev/mapper/vg_mint-lv_mint_root
and from the console when I write the same command it says
failed to get canonical path of /cow'
Who will tell me how to install this grub?
PS If I run an automatic installation on LVM, then everything is put on one logical Mint volume and everything works, but I want to take out the home directory separately, well, another logical volume during installation ... how to be

The problem remained, everything worked on a PC with Efi, but here is where BIOS + GPT cannot be installed grub
As usual, I try to do everything according to the instructions https://losst.ru/ustanovka-zagruzchika-grub GPT FOR BIOS" and it doesn't work, the error comes out when I enter grub-install /dev/sda
writes
grub-install: error: failed to get canonical path of "/cow".
what does this mean why I can not understand.
