Mikrotik, vpn, error 806 - how and why?
Good day :)
I don't even know how to specifically ask a question, but something like this:
Problem: I want to connect to a working vpn. But it gives an error 806 (see screenshot)
Although literally the day before the problem everything worked fine.
Question: How to fix this? Which way to dig?
The information that I found out (I'm not an expert in this, but still it can be useful):
1. I made a trace - the waiting interval was exceeded at the 12th step.
2. In the log log mikrotik writes on my ip - TCP connection established from ***my ip***
3. Port 1723 is open
4. vpn works for other employees, according to the same settings

The error message says that a GRE tunnel must be configured on your router (through which you access the Internet). A common thing, since usually home users sit behind NAT, which GRE is not friends with.
Look for a PPPoE pass-through type setting in the router and enable it
ps another option, look in the router for the ability to connect via VPN yourself.
