Migrating Slackware to a virtual environment with Acronis True Image?
Good day, dear forum users! Tell me, please, the server has Slackware 14.1 installed with very specific software and settings. You need to transfer it to another PC or to a virtual machine. Using Acronis True Image removed the image from the disk. I restored this image to another HDD. When run on another machine, hangs on the GRUB bootloader. After restoring the image in Virtualbox and mounting another Grub, it was possible to start, but the process was interrupted due to the mounted disk. In general, I did everything as described here hutpu4.net/puplication/perenos-l ... image.html. As I understand it, such problems can be solved through Rescue Mode. How to get into this "system restore" by booting from the Slackware distribution. What to enter in "boot:"

The problem with servers on Slackware, Gentoo is that they are usually made by very smart people, not caring at all that they will then need to be transferred and to whom to transfer them.
The hat is that they can be tailored for one hardware and even there will be no firewood for another (as, for example, in debian)
Now try Super Grub Disk to boot into the system at least
1 there is rude or 2nd, here's another question.
Was there LVM?
Acronis can transfer everything very badly, it is better to use dd for Linux
