Migrating from self-written engine to Wordpress, problem with images?

Good afternoon, I transferred posts from 1 self-written site. Transferred to WP and everything worked out except for the images. For files attached to posts, WP has a prefix_postmeta table that contains the technical information of attached files. Is it possible to get around this "limitation" without digging into the kernel? Please give hints.

As far as I understand, in your content there are links to pictures from the old site.
There is a plugin https://ru.wordpress.org/plugins/auto-upload-images/ that will automatically upload images to the media library and replace links with new ones.
