Migrating a redirected folder?

Good afternoon!

There are 2 file servers with redirected documents located in 2 network segments connected by VPN. Redirected documents are stored only on servers, local computers are empty.

It is planned to move several employees from one network to another, so their folders need to be migrated from one file server to another. What is the best way to do this?

DFSR is not an option

Well, since an adequate and standard version with DFS is not an option - copy at night using robocopy for example.
