Metrica vs Analytics. Why is the discrepancy in the data as much as 9 times?

Who to believe? Google considers that an average user spends 4 minutes on my site, and Metrica considers that 35.
Who has experienced this and why is this so?

I'm afraid that the metric is closer to the truth, look in the webvisor for how much time they actually spend on average.
It is unlikely that 35 minutes is a glitch

The duration of the sessions Metrica and Analytics count differently. Divergence can be easy. Look at other parameters (number of visitors), if there are no such discrepancies, then everything is ok.

There are many possible reasons for the discrepancy, the most common I see with clients is the following - counter codes may not be set on some pages of the site, when the user passes through them, one of the counters loses the session and considers a new one. The second reason is that one of the counters is set to HEAD, the other one is in the footer, after /BODY, and the one at the top works, while the bottom one does not have time to load.
