Memory and SSD compatibility with mat. ASUS board?
Hello.
I assemble a PC. I choose compatible elements. I chose the motherboard https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Mothe... . Then I chose her memory and SSD. But then it suddenly turned out that they are not in the compatibility table with this motherboard.
I chose the following memory: Patriot DDR4 32Gb (2x16Gb) 4000MHz (PVE2432G400C0K)
SSD: Samsung 980 PRO MZ-V8P500BW 500GB, M.2 2280, PCI-E 4.0 x4, NVMe
But what confuses me is not that they are not in the compatibility table. but the fact that in the same table there is the same memory that is compatible, but only it has less volume! I have selected 2x16GB and it is not compatible, but 2x8GB with exactly the same characteristics is compatible. And with SSD the same problem - I chose 500GB and it is not in the compatibility table, but the same option, but with 1TB is marked as compatible.
Question: Are they definitely not compatible, or could Asus accidentally mess something up with the compatibility table?

QVL is something that has been tested and will definitely work. The absence of some hardware in QVL does not mean that it will not work, it only means that it has not been tested.
You don't have to worry about SSDs.
As for memory - I would just choose another model, from QVL.
