Media player with labels and folder relationships?

Is there any audio player (under Windows) that supports external tags that are not written to the mp3-tags of each file? In addition to setting tags on files, you need to tag folders, for example, to mark an album or an entire artist, and not specific tracks in an album.
You also need to establish links between folders. For example, that this performer is the soloist of this group and the filter should leave only interconnected objects. Links are manually configured, auto-setting is already some kind of fantasy...
It is desirable that labels can be assigned a color and objects in the interface are highlighted with this color somehow. Genres also want to highlight the color.

Is there anything ready-made or, again, do you have to program everything yourself?
