MDadm+SSD Cache

Really? There is a machine, to increase productivity, I want to add 2-3 SSDs. Is it really possible to do without hardware solutions? Didn't like the Adaptec 5805Q.

They took this adapter (it works on it now), + 2 SSDs for 256GB each. In general, when working, as the cache fills up, the array starts to “freeze”, avio jumps up to 2000ms every 30 seconds, the read speed drops to 0B \ sec, the firmware is the latest.
It’s impossible to work like that, now the server is without a cache ... (the load is 100% on the array around the clock)

To you this server only as file storage?
You can try something like zfsguru.com
And what did Adaptec not like? If the price is, then you can take Intel RS2BL080 + axxrpfkssd
