Are jumpers used on new SATA hard drives?
Are jumpers used on new SATA hard drives to set slave\master\single? Or is it all in the bios? Just curious, because I still use the IDE interface.

There are jumpers, but they are made for a different purpose. They can limit the speed of the port to SATA-I or enable compatibility mode for drives with 4K sectors. In general, it all depends on the specific disk model.
SATA basically has no master-slave division. They simply have serial numbers, which depend on the numbers of the connectors on the board.
SATA - S for Serial
PATA - P for Parallel.
The answer lies in the acronym.
As the previous speaker said, no, everything is used through the BIOS.
