max-width:100% not working in FF?

Good afternoon. Please tell me how to overcome this sadness.
Max-width:100% for images doesn't work in FireFox. Only width:100% works. But using width is not an option. Since with adaptability, pictures are simply terribly stretched, even if they are small.
