Material Design Bootstrap vs classic Bootstrap?

Hey!
I want to make a small multi-page site on Bootstrap.
But I can't figure out whether to do it on classic Bootstrap or on MDbootstrap with Material design.
Are there any important features in MD bootstrap for a simple site, how much slower is it than a classic one?
In general, the opinion regarding the prospects of MDB is of interest.
