Matching tabTrigger in different .sublime-snippet what to do?

There is a default one-line complete for ?xml in SUBLIME, (for text.xml) I want to use my own snippet instead, but the tabtrigger matches. I tried to change text.plain instead of text.xml , but then the synth highlight disappears. before saving with .xml extension. Question: what is the best thing to do?
