Making games, fast start the MOBA genre?
In general, this is the essence:
I am a web developer (back / front). Need some advice from the gamedev guys. I would like / am going to implement a game in the MOBA genre.
Advise what you need to know to write a client and server for the game.
I’ll make a reservation right away that the client will be on Unity 3d, the
Server will either be on Java or nodeJS due to the fact that I am already familiar with these languages and their technologies.
And one more thing, I don’t need any big encyclopedias, since I’m going to do this as part of a hackathon (and you know, there’s not much time there to follow all the development trends). What you should pay attention to regarding this genre, maybe there is some template or an example of a server-client. Let this example just be some kind of cube on a black screen, the main thing is to understand the principles of creating architecture, interaction, and possibly some patterns used for this.
