macbook air 2010 for mac newbie?
Good afternoon. I do not want to breed holivar, but how to get it. Today, due to my stupidity in the train, I forgot a backpack with a working laptop on Windows. Of course, all this goodness did not reach the table of forgotten things. I am urgently looking for a replacement and came across the following suggestion. Air 2010, 13" , 256ssd, 2gb RAM, last OS apparently installed with a special patch, since it is not officially supported by this model. Price 15k T.K.
I'm not a specialist in poppies, and I don't know the pitfalls, can I work fully? I write in vs code, in angularjs and nodejs. I understand that the question is stupid, but I ask just in case, for complacency, so to speak.

2gb of RAM is, as it were, wildly small, the system will only gobble them up. Now I have chrome running in it, there are 4 tabs in one video, nothing else is running, but a lot of processes are running in the background 6.5gb gobbles up, the mojave system.
UPD: added running Photoshop (no layout) and VS Code (clean without plugins), Vue Cli 8.5gb to everything.
Well, first of all, I'm sorry for the loss. If lost find! Perhaps your find is Mac OS))).
Mostly air macbooks, even modern ones - typewriters that are only suitable for surfing and robots with text. And the poppy in question is also 2010. And the characteristics are not very good. 2 GB is negligible even for surfing. They are not even enough for OS Mojave, it’s not for nothing that this version is not supported, the laptop simply won’t pull it, I advise you to install High Sierra, if you still buy what I don’t advise you.
If I were you, I would buy a Macbook Pro 2013-2015, or 2009-2012, but only for upgrading, replacing hdd with ssd, adding RAM (you can do such replacements yourself, but only in poppies until 2013). The processor is at least i5 6th generation, ideally i7 8. The clock frequency is not less than 2.5 GHz. If there is a need to work with graphics, preferably with a discrete graphics card. RAM at least 8, I don’t see the point less - critically small, preferably 16. SSD (HDD - ruins everything) at least 256, less is not enough, most likely even with 256 you need to wake up an external hard drive.
I think it's better for you to abandon this option and look for something else. The characteristics are bad, the price is rather big (for that kind of money you can find a much better option). If you have the time, effort and desire, you can buy this one, disassemble it and add RAM, but I would not advise it - time, effort, money, and even if you do all this, it still cannot be compared with the same Macbook Pro 2013, which can be bought for 23-28 thousand. I would suggest that you buy a used poppy from the USA through eBay, where prices are cheaper and the probability of buying a defective one is much lower.
I wish you good luck in choosing a macbook, be careful and do not become a profit! I think a video about how to choose a used macbook will be useful to you - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gTfEbC-ZHA&t=6s .
