Macbook 13 retina?

Good day to all.
I want to ask a question, perhaps a banal one. I want to try to take a Macbook pro retina 13 "2013. It's used, of course. Why do I need it? Yes, just try, I'm currently studying programming a lot, including graphics. I think that with it will be convenient for them to wander around the house, change their place of deployment ... for inspiration) Not everyone is sitting at the table.
How relevant is the Mac for programming, if this topic "sucks" me, so to speak. is
it normal for
daily use?

1) up-to-date. I have a macbook pro late 2013 8-256
2) for everyday use. it must be taken into account that these models participated in the staining , so the screen must be looked at the integrity of the anti-glare and be moderately careful with it yourself (anti-glare destroys human fat + mechanical friction, so do not touch the display with your fingers, make sure that the buttons are clean and do not wear laptop in a squeezed state in a clogged bag so that the buttons dirty with fingers do not crawl on the display)
3) tyts

Hey! There is a lot of text, but everything is to the point :)
I will give the situation. My colleague at work has a Pro 13'' 2013 laptop (8 RAM, 512 SSD) - I bought it new, I've been working on it for 4 years. I have a Pro 15'' 2018 (16 RAM, 256 SSD).
We both work in the field of Android (sometimes iOS), Back-end and Front-end app development.
Our daily software stack is something like this: Android Studio with 2-3 projects, Genymotion (Android emulator), MAMP, phpStorm, Safari with 10+ tabs.
A colleague's laptop feels comfortable when working with this stack. Yes, the performance of tasks is much lower relative to my device. But you can work comfortably. If he adds Photoshop or xCode with an iOS simulator to this stack of programs, wild drawdowns in performance begin.
And you're just learning programming. As long as you have enough of such a machine :)
In addition to the above. Speaking in principle, devices and macOS are quite adequate relative to Windows and devices based on this OS. Nothing distracts you from work and everyday use, you do not worry about setting up / optimizing / reinstalling the operating system and viruses. Everything works like a clock. The stack of programs has already been described. I do not turn off the laptop at all, only to sleep. Stably once a week on Mondays I send for reboot.
Continuing the answer, I will touch the graphics and various tasks.
Our designers mostly use Microsoft Surface Book (Windows), rarely iMac and MacBook Pro. Game developers for Unity and RealEngine only on PCs with top-end graphics cards. And those who work with Back-end, Front-end, Android or iOS use only iMac or Macbook Pro (mainly 15'' 2015 and 13/15'' 2018).

I would not advise taking a used Macbook first. I understand that you want to save money, but if you buy a new macbook, it won’t drag you out - in a year you will sell it for $ 200 cheaper maximum, + you will have a guarantee in case of anything, and if you buy a used one, you will get $ 600-800 if something with it will happen. And on the market, 50% used is dead shit, but already, with Chinese batteries, keyboards and screens. You will not get the experience at all that you could get, and therefore you will write on the Internet what kind of “poppy ** but”, although in reality, in your poppy, it’s possible that there is nothing left of your own besides the motherboard.
