Macbook 12 2017 on 256 or macbook pro 13 2017 on 128 without TouchBar to learn front-end?

Hello.
I am currently in my 3rd year at university with a degree in IT. Because of this, there is now a great need for a good laptop that will be "always with you." At the same time, I actively began to study front-end development. I have a certain amount of money, which I slowly accumulated from a part-time job.
For me now there are 2 options:
-Macbook 12 2017 at 256
-Macbook pro 13 2017 at 128
+ - the price is the same. So the dilemma arose:
- Macbook pro confuses only 128gb memory. Some write that it’s impossible to live with 128gb, they say put Windows in parallels, a couple of IDEs, PhotoShop and sit with external hard drives, etc. They say that 258 is the minimum.
- On the other hand, in the minimum configuration, macbook 12 costs 256gb, + longer battery life, + nice light weight, BUT I'm very confused by the M3 processor. According to the tests, it is not so bad (in synthetics at the level of i5-5257U, which is in macbook pro 13 (2015)), but it is synthetics ... On the Internet they say that its performance is quite enough for the front-end. Barely a drop of a smaller screen, I don’t think it will confuse.
I also need the ability to connect it to my monitor at home and use it as a full-fledged computer.
I can hardly scrape together money for a 256gb macbook pro. A laptop is needed "here and now" because it's very hard without it.
As an option, I'm considering taking a 128 macbook pro, and in the future to buy a tiny 128gb samsung flash drive with type-c for 5k to store files and, possibly, not very often used programs. Or a completely stupid idea?
If there are people with macbook 12 starting from version 2016, then I would like to see feedback on the operation and its performance. But will something more than just surfing the Internet and watching anime pull?
Please help me with advice or share your experience in this all. Which option do you consider the most balanced for a novice front-end developer?
Thanks in advance to everyone!

I have a 13' pro 2017.
I have already changed two buttons, because they just break the fasteners from normal daily work. Plus, it must be constantly blown, because because of the "butterfly" there are constant double clicks.
Look better towards bu 2016 pro. It was head and shoulders above the laptop.
You are right about 128. Moreover, 256 is also barely enough. Minimum 512 for comfortable work. And this is being told to you by a person who never stores music/movies/photos on disk. Only software for design and development.
Well, percent / GPU is also important. My 2011 home aimak rendered in Cinema4D and After Effects one and a half times faster than the 2017 one.
In general, if you want a working tool, either look for more money, or take the previous generation. Really, the 2016 retina proshka is very cool. I had one at my old job - couldn't be happier.

to study the front-end, you need to study the front-end and not sort through the poppies. On the issue, pro is better, you can live with 128, but 256 is preferable.

If you choose from these two, then Pro 13 "from 16GB to 128 is better, because you can attach a hard drive from the outside, but you can't deliver a processor and RAM.

I think the author has already made a choice, I will answer for those who will read in the future.
I have a 15" 2016 firmware with 256GB and a 13" 2017 base firmware with 128GB - regarding memory: it all depends on your tasks. For the needs of the author, 128GB is enough, in which case an external disk such as Samsung T5 is purchased - it is small and fast, this will completely close the issue with memory. Also, cloud storage, the same Aykloud - help out a lot.
With regards to performance - 13 "is an excellent machine for medium needs, compared to 15" flash it is more convenient to use as a portable device - smaller size, weight. 13" RAM is not enough only in very resource-intensive tasks such as heavy projects in Photoshop and the like.
The MacBook 12" is justified as an ultra-portable device, for users with basic functionality (browser, movies, light photo editing, etc.)
