Hello. I recently decided to switch to *nix because it is faster than windows. Never used linux and mac os x. I work as a web programmer. Please share your experience.

PS I plan to install Mac os x on a simple PC.

It makes sense to switch when another OS provides some extra features compared to the current one.
For example, I have windows - for steam, for everything else - ubuntu.
Judging by the reviews of my colleagues, macOS is far from the crowning achievement of engineering.

Do not mind it. Put in Windows VirtualBox, for example, and raise Linux on it with a web server.
I suspect that already in the process of this simple lesson, "everything is incomprehensible and unusual here, well, it's completely."

Windows is only useful for very technical things like CADs or sound editors. For normal Mac/Linux life, it's over the roof. And if you are a developer (anyone, except for the proprietary legalization of financial firms that still write on old dotnets), then Linux is best. Well, or poppy * but with an asterisk.
