LVM, how to force pvscan to ignore (use your own) filter?

Challenge: Filters include drives that normally shouldn't be checked for PV. However, there was a need to temporarily access one of these LVMs. Question: How can this be done? As far as I understand, make pvscan ignore filters or use custom filters. I don't want to touch lvm.conf at all. How else can you specify "your" filter?
