Lubuntu 18.04 or Debian LXDE?
What is better to choose for an old laptop with 1 GB RAM and 1.66 GHz Lubuntu 18.04 or Debian LXDE processor? I tried this and that resource consumption seems to be the same, but still, which is better in terms of performance? What will load the system the least during operation? Or maybe it's better to choose another distribution?

In my opinion, the difference is not very big. You can take any, even a modern distribution, since the whole environment will need to be selected based on your machine and your tastes.
I think that debian minimal is better suited + will roll i3wm or something else there, like software.
