Low-latency kernel?

Hello.
Updated ubuntu 17.04 to 17.10. Low-latency loading appeared in grub, but it hangs when loading.
Removed grub, load generic. But the question remains: which core is better and why can it hang?

look through aptitude \ synaptic what is installed on the system. put in order.
why hangs - to look in logs.
