Looking for a tool for online teamware management

I would like to organize convenient group work in the company. Within our small company, we use Skype for negotiations-communications-meetings. Many developers are scattered around different countries, as well as customers, the use of Skype is quite suitable for this style. But still there is no trust in this proprietary craft. We are trying to switch to Jabber, installed ejabberd, configured, everything that is required works, in general. But there are a couple of unpleasant features of the work of conferences: if the window closes (the laptop turns off, or the person just goes to sleep), then the person automatically leaves the conference and all subsequent messages there will no longer get to him. Well, or the last en, which are registered in the settings of the jabberd, will get there, that it is necessary to store the last few offline messages. This en is not enough when reconnecting, messages in the chat windows are duplicated, and sometimes they still disappear altogether, i.e. it happens that [re]connected participants do not receive them later, and sometimes there are many when the previous story does not have to be shown to new people. The second point is that paranoia is haunting and we don’t want to have centralized storage of all chat histories on the server, distributed storage among participants is enough, like in Skype. Discussions on the forums and with those who told me that I "niasilil" jabber consistently led to the conclusion that the required model is not implemented within the XMPP protocol. that paranoia haunts and we don’t want to have centralized storage of all chat histories on the server, distributed storage among participants is enough, as in Skype. The question is, is there already any ready-made tool suitable for such needs? So far, everything I've found convinces me that I'll have to write this myself.
