Looking for a frivolous tool that shows the translation of an English word under the mouse cursor. Or just a browser plugin?

Although I live in England, I learned a lot of English words and learned to understand many different accents, but still, sometimes I have to go into the dictionary. It turns out like this - double click, ctrl-c, alt-tab, multitran.ru, ctrl-v, alt-tab - if many times, then it's annoying. I am looking for a tool that can see the word under the cursor, go to multitran and highlight the found article in the tooltip. Is there such a thing?
The built-in dictionary is also good, but in most cases the words are tricky, so the built-in dictionary for a dozen thousand words known from school will not help much. Is there such a tool, preferably under Windows and Linux?
UPDATE: Zvasil, thanks for the idea, because you can completely get by with a browser plugin, in all other applications the words are familiar.

Golden Dict. Able to work with different formats of dictionaries and with sites Multitran, UrbanDictionary, etc. On the download page there is also the so-called. En-Ru-En Content is a small set of very good dictionaries, I recommend installing them too.

A couple of months ago I found an excellent replacement for the monstrous (IMHO) Lingvo - QTranslate . Lightweight, comfortable, functional. Stayed on it.

Interestingly, I did something similar as a term paper.
Copy the word to the clipboard and receive the translation through a system notification. Too bad it's stillborn.

You can dig towards GoldenDict . For Windows, Lingvo is the most convenient, as for me, but it is paid.

There is an old Babylon service
Click on a word in the browser and we get a popup with a translation, I used it for a very long time, but I remember that you can set a hotkey at which it will count the click for translation.

Also available for ff

I use an add-on for Firefox S3. Google Translator
Translates the selected text by clicking on the hotkey or by clicking on the item in the context menu, although the translation pops up in the window that opens from below, and not next to the cursor. It is convenient for those who can translate phrases or whole phrases, since without context the translation is often incorrect.
