LiveStreet VS InstantCMS VS something else, tell me their current status

I plan to make a highly professional social network, so that professionals would measure their pussy , discuss their pressing issues, and clients learn a lot of new / interesting things about them. In fact, Habr, only more narrowly professional, but with its own chess and librarians.

Here I think about LiveStreet VS InstantCMS VS can you advise it?

A couple of years ago, my choice would have definitely leaned towards InstantCMS, not only because of the functionality, but also for the “quality” of the code, which in Instant seemed to me simpler, more understandable and open for quick modification.
But everything flows, everything changes, tell me what is the current state of these projects?

cogear.ru/ is not bad.
bigstreet.ru/ (but it looks weak compared to others)

I personally prefer LiveStreet. I can’t say about the quality of the code, but at one time I very quickly entered what was arranged inside LS, and for me it is not a problem to expand the functionality. There are two main problems with LS - the lack of good documentation (although this is only needed at first), and the fact that there are few developers in the community, and the main part of it is people who are far from programming, who only use the engine to create their own "Facebooks". How this is the case in Instant, I do not know. But right now I looked at the extension directories of both:
LiveStreet has 266 plugins
Instant has filters + modules + components = 39 pieces in total
By the way, I didn’t drive in from the first poke, how filters differ from modules, modules from components, and components from filters. In LS, functionality extension is performed by a plugin. Moreover, the plugin can expand both the basic functionality (for example, add new fields to the topic, new algorithms when it is created or displayed), or it can add completely new functionality.
There are things I don't like about LS. But there is no ideal in life, and here the pros, IMHO, outweigh the cons.

I hesitated between these two cms, I also tried other similar livestreet, after a lot of trial and error, I decided to install instantcms for multi-topic all blogs, news, photo albums can only be created in thematic groups, topics - entertaining and informative content, as well as content of questions and answers.
The only downside of this kms is that I can’t upgrade to the next version of the engine on the way, but this is probably due to the fact that I don’t understand myself yet. Here's the site I ended up with Live Bands
