Linux mint, why does skype show the screen so badly?

I recently switched to Linux Mint, installed it for my colleagues, and something got so good that I decided to install it myself.
I do not grieve on mate, but what an infection.
It so happened that the last time I sat on Linux half a year ago (I changed the office here, everyone has Windows ;(() It
just got around to rearranging it.
In short, I installed Skype, everything works as expected, but the resolution when showing the screen is so bad that, as much as vyviglaz, the text is not readable at all, even if you try hard, as if it were not 160-200 resolution.There
was no such garbage before
And I no longer have a Linux machine with a graphical interface, there is no need.Actually the
question.
Che happened, roofing felts for half a year, the small soft ones completely became overwhelmed and specially coarsened the resolution of the screen demonstration for Linux.
Toli something is wrong, but even where to look for thoughts there;(

I have the same trouble when they show videos from Windows - the text cannot be parsed, and Mac OS X is lucky - sometimes the text is visible, but most often not either. It's been like this for a long time, more than half a year for sure. Ubuntu.

And why do they need it, especially to spoil their software?
Most likely, they just optimized it, and did not check it under Linux, and error messages are considered according to the priority of their relevance (keep in mind that there are very few Linux users).

@rostel

the same thing under Debian 7/8
most likely MS don't want at least, at most they can't write software for Linux
