Linux Mint 19.1: image scaling for different monitors?

I have a 13.3" laptop with a FullHD screen. Of course, everything is very small. I set the font scaling factor to 1.3 - everything looks good. But if I connect a monitor, the fonts are huge (i.e. the screen is physically large). Is it possible to somehow adjust the scaling for different screens in different ways?
